Just before reading this I was saying to myself, "You know what nobody does? Nobody uses that little throwaway line from 5.02 where Castiel says he's 'hunted'." And then I click on this and find someone actually using it. ♥
Love Castiel's otherworldliness even while he's in pain, and Dean and Sam's ability to help without a fuss. I also loved that you used an angelic blade to wound him; I have a hard time imagining much of anything else actually putting a lasting scratch on an angel, even an exiled one.
