Plot Bunny of the Day
I adore Criminal Minds/Supernatural crossovers, but I'm too scared to write one because I don't know how I'd actually manage the whole profiling aspect of it. So this is the plot of a Criminal Minds/Supernatural crossover I'd write if I was actually brave enough to write it.
The BAU team are in charge of investigating the massacre at the campaign office (as done by Castiel (sort of) in 7x01) and they identify Jimmy Novak from the security footage. To get help in locating him, they track down Jimmy's wife Amelia only to find that her daughter Claire is missing. Since the Leviathan have Jimmy, Castiel is using Claire as a vessel and Amelia, who is incredibly pissed off at Cas and unable to tell the truth without seeming crazy, makes up a story about Castiel being an evil split personality of Jimmy's and tells the BAU that he came back and kidnapped Claire. The BAU send out a nation wide Amber Alert for Claire and soon get reports of several sightings. They eventually manage to track down Claire(Castiel) only to find her in the company of Sam and Dean. Sam, Dean, and Castiel (whose powers are drained so he unfortuantely can't fly anywhere at the moment) all find themselves in the custody of the BAU who have a lot of questions they can't answer, namely where Jimmy is. Things then go completely to hell when Jimmy shows with the Leviathan currently in control of his body.
