I liked the salt superstition and Cas questioning it; he's finding out that there's a huge difference between observing a culture and living in it. He seems more aware of his body now, and its fragilitiy and needs and it looks like he's improving on taking care of himself.

Cas seems like he's finding a place for himself, but Dean seems to be getting more lost from where he thought he should be.
